be Australia’s most successful ‘pharmacy education’
conference built on a reputation for always providing
an exceptional educational experience of the highest
quality in content, presentation and relevance from
the faculty of speakers.
Now equally important is the fact that you can
comfortably complete all of your educational
requirements for registration with 60 + CPD credits
at both group 1 and 2 levels available. And all this in
fabulous locations with an accompanying persons
program underpinning PSA’s claim that “Learning

Speakers for the 2017 conference include leading
consultant pharmacists Debbie Rigby (AJP’s 2016 Most
Influential Woman in Pharmacy) and Bill Horsfall, as
well as leading pharmacy academics Dr Shane Jackson
and Dr Jenny Gowan.

The 2017 main conference program is centred in
Rome, staying at the centrally located Westin Excelsior
Hotel on the magnificent Via Veneto, with the option
of joining our extended main conference for an
additional four nights in Tuscany.
While in Rome a special highlight will be a
presentation by Dr Maria Cristina Carlo- Stella, head
of the Office of the Fabbrica di San Pietro in the
Vatican City. Dr Carlo- Stella oversees the preservation,
maintenance and enhancement of St. Peter’s Basilica,
as well as the site of the tomb of the Apostle Peter.
The two pre-conference options are:
• a 7-night tour of Sicily, a land of extremes and
contrast and a magnification of all things Italian;
• a 4 -night program in the unspoiled region of
Umbria with its rolling hills and classic hill towns,
crammed with artistic and architectural treasures
to rival bigger and more famous cities.

program is not to be missed, organisers believe.
Meanwhile, ‘Cabaret’ is the theme of APP2017’s
Street Party, which will once again be spread over
two areas at Jupiters Gold Coast. The night will
feature a smorgasbord of entertainment, including
a performance by Australian comedian and singer
Paul McDermott, a tribute to the movie ‘Cabaret,’
a dance and quick change act by Soul Mystique,
and a DJ set.
APP2017 will run from 9–12 March at the Gold
Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, Qld.
